Sand Bucket Dessert Pudding is a no-bake layered treat served in small plastic buckets to mimic a day at the beach. Crushed cookies stand in for sand, while creamy pudding layers fill the bucket underneath. It comes together in about 20 minutes and works well for kids' parties or summer gatherings.
3.4ozvanilla instant pudding mixuse high-quality brand for better taste
2cupsmilkwhole milk preferred for a creamier texture
8piecesgraham crackerscrush gently to mimic sand
1cupwhipped toppingchilled for better consistency
1cupstrawberriesdiced
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the vanilla instant pudding mix and milk. Whisk for about 2 minutes until the mixture is smooth and starts to thicken. Refrigerate for 5 minutes or until set.
While the pudding sets, crush the graham crackers until they resemble fine sand. This can be done using a food processor or by placing the crackers in a sealed plastic bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.
Once the pudding is set, gently fold in the chilled whipped topping with a spatula until well combined. This adds lightness to the pudding mixture.
Layer the pudding mixture in each sand bucket, alternating with layers of crushed graham cracker 'sand' and diced strawberries, ending with a layer of graham cracker.
Gently press the final layer of graham crackers to form a smooth sandy top. Chill in the refrigerator briefly if desired, to set the flavors.
