3largeeggslightly beaten
1cupgranulated sugar
1teaspoonvanilla extractpure
For the Topping:
1cupcaramel saucestore-bought or homemade
0.25cupchopped pecans
Instructions
Preheat Oven and Prepare Crust: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt. Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, blend the cold butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add cold water gradually until the dough holds together. Press the dough into a 9-inch pie pan evenly.
Make the Filling: In another bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined. Pour this mixture over the prepared crust carefully.
Baking: Bake in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown. You'll know it's ready when the center jiggles slightly but is mostly firm.
Adding the Topping: Once out of the oven, allow the pie to cool slightly. Top with caramel sauce and sprinkle with chopped pecans before serving.

Notes
Tammy’s Tips:
For a nuttier flavor, consider toasting the pecans before using them as a topping.
If you prefer a thicker crust, add an additional 1/2 cup of flour and adjust the butter accordingly.
