Ingredients

14 ounces Oreo cookies best if original flavor
3.4 ounces instant chocolate pudding mix preferably a well-known brand like JELL-O
2 cups milk whole milk for richness
8 ounces cream cheese softened to room temperature
1 cup powdered sugar sifted
12 ounces cool whip topping thawed

Instructions

Crush the Oreos: Place the Oreo cookies in a plastic Ziploc bag and crush them using a rolling pin until they resemble coarse soil. Reserve some crumbs for garnish.
Prepare the Pudding: In a mixing bowl, combine the instant chocolate pudding mix with milk and whisk until smooth and thickened. Set aside.
Blend Cream Cheese Mixture: In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Gently fold in the Cool Whip, mixing until smooth.
Layer the Dessert: Layer the dessert by alternating between layers of Oreo crumbs, pudding mixture, and cream cheese mixture in serving glasses or bowls.
Garnish and Serve: Top the final layer with reserved Oreo crumbs. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes before serving. Optional: garnish with gummy worms for a playful touch.

Notes

For a more adult twist, add a splash of coffee liqueur to the cream cheese mixture.
Alternatively, for a lighter version, substitute low-fat cream cheese and sugar-free pudding mix.
