2tablespoonscocoa powderfor dusting
1cupdark chocolate shavingsfor garnish
Instructions
Prepare the Espresso:
Brew 1 cup of strong espresso coffee and set aside to cool to room temperature.
Make the Mascarpone Filling:
In a mixing bowl, whisk the mascarpone cheese until smooth. In another bowl, using an electric mixer, whip the chilled heavy cream and sugar until soft peaks form. Fold the mascarpone and vanilla extract gently into the whipped cream until well combined.
Assemble the Shooters:
Break the ladyfinger biscuits into small pieces to fit the shooter cups. Dip each piece quickly into the cooled espresso, ensuring they are coated but not soaked. Layer the bottom of each shooter glass with the espresso-dipped ladyfingers.
Pipe or spoon a layer of the mascarpone filling over the ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers and finish with a final layer of mascarpone filling.
Final Touches:
Dust the top of each shooter with cocoa powder using a fine sieve. Garnish with dark chocolate shavings, if desired.

Notes
For a twist, consider adding a splash of coffee liqueur to the espresso for extra depth of flavor.
Use chilled ingredients to ensure the mascarpone mixture sets well.
