Magic Cookie Bars
Magic cookie bars are built in layers directly in the baking pan — graham cracker crumbs, butter, sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, coconut, and nuts — then baked until the top is golden and the center is chewy and set. They take about 10 minutes to assemble and 25 minutes to bake.

Ingredients
- 1.5 cups graham cracker crumbs Finely ground
- 0.5 cups unsalted butter melted
- 1 cup chopped nuts Pecans recommended
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
- 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk 1 can
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine 1.5 cups of graham cracker crumbs with 0.5 cups of melted unsalted butter until the mixture resembles wet sand.
- Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking pan to form a crust.
- Evenly sprinkle 1 cup of chopped nuts over the crust, followed by 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1 cup of sweetened shredded coconut.
- Pour 14 ounces of sweetened condensed milk evenly over the top layer to bind all ingredients together.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into squares.
Notes
For a twist, try swapping half of the semi-sweet chocolate chips for butterscotch chips for added flavor.
