Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine the peaches with 1/2 cup of the sugar and cinnamon. Stir until the peaches are well coated.
Transfer the peach mixture to the 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading evenly.
In another bowl, mix together the flour, remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually whisk in the milk and melted butter into the dry ingredients until you have a smooth batter.
Pour the batter evenly over the peach mixture in the baking dish.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the cobbler is bubbling.
Allow it to cool slightly before serving to allow the flavors to meld together beautifully.

Lori’s Tips:
For a fun twist, try adding a handful of blueberries or raspberries to the peach mixture for added flavor and color.
If peaches aren't in season, you can use canned peaches, just be sure to drain them well.
