Instructions
In a medium saucepan, combine the heavy cream, light corn syrup, sugar, and cocoa powder. Whisk over medium heat until the mixture begins to steam and the sugar dissolves, about 3 minutes.
Add the chopped bittersweet chocolate, stirring continually until melted and the sauce is smooth, about 2 minutes.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir until fully incorporated and smooth.
Let the sauce cool slightly before serving. The hot fudge will thicken as it cools.
