Chocolate Lush is a chilled, layered dessert built on a crunchy base, followed by a cream cheese layer, chocolate pudding, and whipped topping. Each layer sets in the refrigerator, so the dessert is best made a few hours ahead or the night before. It serves a crowd and requires no baking beyond the crust.

1tablespoondark chocolate shavingsfor garnish
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, melted butter, and chopped pecans to form the crust dough. Press this mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until lightly golden. Remove, and allow it to cool completely.
For the cream cheese layer, blend the cream cheese and powdered sugar in a mixing bowl until smooth. Gently fold in the whipped topping. Spread this mixture evenly over the cooled crust using a spatula.
Prepare the chocolate pudding by whisking the instant pudding mix with cold milk until thickened. Immediately pour and spread the pudding over the cream cheese layer.
Finally, spread the remaining whipped topping over the chocolate pudding, ensuring an even cover.
For an elegant finish, sprinkle dark chocolate shavings on top for garnish. Chill the dessert in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Tammy’s Tips:
For a nut-free version, substitute pecans with crushed graham crackers.
To elevate flavors, consider adding a dash of vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture.
If using a store-bought whipped topping, allow it to thaw completely before mixing.
